Vijay Kirshna Acharya's Dhoom 3 is another visual treat where you get to see a fancy foreign city, cool bikes, police cars and good stunts but that's about it. The Dhoom series theme music when clubbed with the action stunts in the latest installment provides some entertainment because what you end up watching is not all that bad. But if you are looking for any logic, you are watching the wrong film.</div>

Sahir (Aamir Khan) loses his father because a Chicago bank doesn't allow him to continue his circus and asks him to shut shop. Since then his mission is to shut the bank down, he wouldn't settle for anything lesser! A talented circus boy grows up and continues to run the circus and rob the same bank living in the same city, but of course he is never caught because he is no less than a magician. Robberies are well planned and executed by him. In the United States no security agency has managed to catch him and no camera has captured his face while he is on the move. Post the robbery he returns to the circus as if nothing ever happened.</div>

Since he leaves a message in Hindi each time he robs a bank the management calls for some help from India. ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) and Ali Akbar (Uday Chopra) take charge of the case in Chicago and the local police take a back seat. As one would only guess, each time Sahir is one step ahead but what's surprising is how useless the entire security system is made to look. When Sahir hears of Jai's arrival, he immediately plans to meet him and take him into confidence which will help him understand his game-plan. Although what's questionable here is the very fact that why would a cop who is just handed over an important case come to trust an unknown person in an unknown country. It is far from my understanding at least.</div>

As always you can make out Aamir Khan has worked hard for this particular role and it shows in many parts but it doesn't match to what Hrithik Roshan did in Dhoom 2. Neither does Aamir pull off the action very well nor the dance steps. Katrina Kaif plays Aaliya, Sahir's love interest; she has a very short role in the film. She puts a great show together in her opening scene and then she has very little to do. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra's famous chemistry from the previous films does show in some portions. Music by Pritam and Julius Packiam is below average. </div>

Dhoom 3 is full of loop holes, over-the-top acting and an overdose of action that doesn't fit well all the time. The timing is right so the film will run to packed houses but it's surely not a film that I would recommend as your last outing for 2013!</div>

Royal Raju (Sri Vishnu) is a man with rural mindset who happens to fall in love with Sameera (Ritu), a costume designer of a movie. Royal Raju has some values on life and sex but Sameera hasn’t. On the other hand Randy (Harshavardhan) is a singer who develops feelings towards Sarayu (Vithika Sethu) due to a common interest of serving orphans. And the third pair is Arjun (Harish) and Shanti (Sree Mukhi) where the former is a play boy with multiple sexual affairs and the latter is the one who offers herself to her boss for growth in her career. Finally how all these three stories culminate makes the point in the film.</div>

<strong>Performances:</strong><br />
Debutante actor Sri Vishnu turns the heads. The character given to him has ample scope to perform with humor in diction and characterization. He has confidence in him and hence proves to be a promising actor provided he sculpts himself further.</div>

Harshavardhan Rane appeared with single serious expression through out. He couldn’t deliver enough of histrionics to connect to the female audience.</div>

Harish is just ok but he is not a face to register among the audience with single appearance. His performance is just ok and nothing big to mention.</div>

All three heroines passed in screen presence and no complaint on their performances as well. They delivered what they are supposed to. Comedian Ravi over performed to some extent. Madhura Sreedhar, the director and audio company owner acted in a special role as himself. Similarly Bhanu who is one in the duo Anil-Bhanu, the ace publicity designers, brought some laughs with his portrayal as film director. Chitram Rajesh and Swamy Rara fame comedian also did their best. Others are ok.</div>

Pavan Sadineni, despite his debut film, delivered reasonably commendable product. Many don’t feel they are watching a small budget film. Cinematography by Karthik Ghattamaneni and music by Shravan deserves good mention. Both the departments brought feel good element.</div>

But the heavy lags, unnecessary filling dialogues and the deliberate struggle to narrate a simple point in a lengthy way gives a lethargic appeal.  And the fundamental flaw is how can the character Shanti blame a boy for calling on her mobile when she is in a business meeting? It is indeed her responsibility to keep the mobile in silent mode. And Royal Raju says ‘I love you’ to every girl in first half and in climax he is shown as a man with values. There are some directorial flaws here and there that will show effect on total viewing experience.</div>

When this youthful content is supposed to run in a fast express, it appears to be crawling in a passenger train. The real moment starts only in the climax. But as the moment grips up, the movie ends abruptly.</div>

The film promises no great peaks and at the same time it cannot be rejected as a dud. The overall experience can be termed ok but not great.</div>

The biggest enemy for this film is the lack of sharp cut in scenes. Dialogues also could have been better. The songs are good but the background score marred. It is a known fact that background score can take the film to next level even though the content is a bit weak.</div>
